The Ultra Simplicity collection is luxurious, soft with a shining
velvet effect. Made of 100% superior Mulberry silk, the finest
silk available.
The typical lustre of silk, its fineness and comfort makes the
collection amazing. This high-end collection is hand tufted in
9 featured plain colors, however it is also possible to request
other colors.
Each rug is unique and manufactured to order. This gives you
endless possibilities in the choice of colors, dimensions and
shapes. A leather label on the back of each rug shows the
name of the designer and the year the rug was manufactured.
The collection is also available in pure New Zealand wool or our
wool / viscose mix. Viscose is coming from Cellulose:
the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants.
Cellulose is the most common organic compound on Earth.
Viscose is excellent, like wool, for dyeing because colors are
very bright. The raw material for viscose is extracted from
eucalyptus, pine or beech wood which, after removing the bark,
is chipped into fragments the length of matches.
The cellulose is purified and bleached, then pressed into solid
sheets. For fibre production, the cellulose must be dissolved,
using the 100 year old viscose process.
