SCHRAGER / STARCK HOTEL
CHOOSE HENZEL
Henzel Studio is pleased to announce the
successful usage
of several HZL rugs within the completely renovated
Paramount Hotel, New York.
The Paramount Hotel Times Square is considered one of the
most fashionable Midtown Manhattan boutique hotels in New
York City. Designed by renowned hotelier Ian Schrager and
Philippe Starck in 1990, the Paramount Hotel is a time capsule
of late-20th century chic. A 610-room hotel on Manhattan's
West 46th Street, Paramount remains the embodiment of
"Hotel as Theater", with an ever-changing ambiance that
entertains and enchants its guests and visitors.
When Schrager reopened the groundbreaking Paramount in
1990 (the hotel underwent a seven-month long renovation
in 1998 at a cost of $7 million), it set a new industry standard
- affordable luxury that offered great value in a cool and
sophisticated environment and an elegant gathering place
for hotel guests and New York City dwellers alike.
One of the selected Henzel rugs is Love will tear us apart,
designed in 2005 by Calle Henzel.
