CANOPY CHAIRS EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION

Henzel Studio is pleased to announce a unique and exclusive
collaboration with New York-based to-the-trade furnishings
showroom Designlush. This new joint venture marries the
contemporary point of view of Designlush with the fashion-
forward graphic textiles of Calle Henzel, creating stunning,
one-of-a-kind upholstered accent pieces.
The first piece of the Designlush/Henzel venture is the Calle
Canopy Chair, and represents just one of the exciting
possibilities now available to designers by uniting these two
furnishings trendsetters.
Says Designlush President Stephen Mitchell; we have chosen
this particular 18th Century design to showcase the possibilities
of the partnership because it provides the perfect framework
for Henzel's bold designs, but also because it's a sculptural form
so rich with history. The French Canopy Chair celebrates a real
high-water mark for furniture design. This is from a time when
everything was being re-imagined, questioned, and designers
were looking at form in completely new ways which is really
what is going on right now with contemporary design. It's like
we are coming full circle on the avante garde.
But the Calle Canopy Chair is just one example of the potential
range of this exclusive offering, created with the discerning
custom residential, contract and hospitality designer in mind.
Says Mitchell; When you combine our extensive lines of
upholstered pieces, including our signature Modernist beds and
benches, with the strikingly modern printed textiles of Calle
Henzel, you have an exceptional new resource for creating
totally unique, totally custom pieces. You get the look of a
gallery-inspired art piece with all the ease, flexibility and
custom capabilities of a designer showroom. It really opens
up a world of possibility to designers. Pricing is based on fabric,
frame and finish selected - lead times start at 10 to 12 weeks.
